Believe in destiny!
My name is Charlotte, and for years, my life revolved around my career. As a successful businesswoman, my schedule was relentlessmost days were spent either at my London office, travelling for work, or catching up on sleep at home over the weekend. I prided myself on my energy and discipline, always armed with a plan for every situation. At 32, I had no family of my own, no children, just a thriving travel agency and one close friend. My parents died in a car accident when I was young, so my grandmother raised me. She did her best to provide for me, though we never had much money. Even as a child, I dreamed of making it big and supporting her in return.
I worked hardschool, university, graduated with honours, and built my business from the ground up. By 27, Id bought my own flat, and at 30, I treated myself to a luxury car. I made sure my grandmother had everything she needed: expensive medicine, stylish clothes, and gourmet treats. She passed away when I was 31, leaving me truly alone. My friend and I would occasionally go shopping or travel together, but that was the extent of my social circle.
I had high standards for a partnerafter all, Id achieved so much and wanted someone equally driven and caring. The years slipped by, and I never met the right man, so I poured myself into my work. One evening, flying home from a business trip to Spain, I couldnt sleep on the plane despite being exhausted. A group of children nearby were noisy and lively, so I asked the flight attendant to move me to a quieter seat. I fell asleep instantly.
When we landed, I woke up and saw him. He was about 38, charming and refined. I regretted sleeping through the flight, as he caught my attention immediately. We left the plane and queued together at passport control, striking up a conversation so engaging that time seemed to vanish. His name was Edward, and he too was returning from a work trip. He confessed hed noticed me back in the Spanish airport but hesitated to approach, thinking I might be married.
We exchanged phone numbers and parted ways. The next day, a courier delivered a massive bouquet and a card to my office, inviting me to dinner that evening. That was the beginning of our story. Five months later, Edward proposed. Now, at 36, I have a familya loving husband, twin boys, and a flourishing business. I cant run it alone anymore, but with Edwards help, we manage everything together. Cherish each other and trust in fate!
