On My Floor Lived a Lonely Woman Raising Her Granddaughter Alone—She Spoiled the Girl with Everythin…

On my floor, theres a lonely woman living with her granddaughter. Shes raising the girl all by herself, constantly providing for her and at the same time, indulging her every whim. She gave the girl a dog and a cat, but that was only the start of their troubles. Our hallway is always busy with delivery people coming and goingher granddaughter is always ordering expensive things online, and somehow the grandmother manages to foot the bill. Ive never quite figured out where she gets all the money, though I overheard she rents out a property somewhere.

We all feel sorry for the womansuch misfortune with her daughter, and now shes left alone, no husband or son-in-law to help, trying to raise a little girl by herself. None of us imagined shed become almost obsessed, determined to do absolutely everything for her granddaughter.

After finishing school, the granddaughter couldnt manage to leave home; she spends her days inside, searching for a job while picking herself apart. The grandmother first organised braces for her teeth, and then became fixated on getting her a nose jobthe girls nose wasnt quite right.

If my own daughter, or anyone else for that matter, said something like that to me, Id scold her for not appreciating herself. You should be happy with what nature gave you. But this was a completely different scenario.

The neighbours granddaughter got exactly what she wanteda nose surgery. Then came a long stretch of recovery. I noticed a steady stream of visitors knocking and ringing at the flat next door. It got to the point where someone knocked on my door to confirm she lived there. I foolishly said she did.

If only Id known my neighbour had fallen into debt with everyone!

Because of the operation, the grandmother tried to get a loan from the bank, but was refused due to her age and unreliable income (her pension didnt count), so she turned to dodgy lending companies. She borrowed whatever she could from one, then from another, and eventually took out a third loan just to keep up with the repayments.

Thats what Ive heard from the other neighbours. Now, everyones talking about it.

How could a grown woman think this was a good idea? Shell be paying off those loans for the rest of her life. One day the grandmother will pass on, and what will happen to her granddaughter then? Not only is she completely unprepared for life, shell be stuck paying back the debtall because of a nose.
